Why is my Telescript Monitor Flickering?

There are a number of reasons your monitor may be flickering. Here are a few things to consider:

CABLES:

First, try swapping out the cable being used to feed the display. Be sure that the cable is seated properly in the port you are using.

RESOLUTION:

Be sure your computer, camera, or video converter is sending a 1080p signal and NOT a 4K signal. Only Telescript's 24" 4K display is capable of decoding a 4K signal. All Telescript displays can handle most resolutions 1080p or under. 

SDI FLICKER:

If only your SDI input is flickering, check your resolution. If you are sending a 1080p signal and the image is dropping out, change your output resolution to 1080i if possible by either changing the resolution on the output device (computer, camera, etc) or introducing a converter that will allow you to alter the resolution going to the display (Decimator or other video converter). There are some instances where smaller 8" and 12" displays are mounted to their hardware with longer thumb screws than they were originally supplied with. Try backing off the thumb screws to see if that stops the flicker. If the flicker stops, it is likely that the screw (or screws) are too long and are touching the internal components, causing a short. Find the shorter screws that were originally supplied with the display, or contact us to get the proper screws.
